The Disability Screen Office is thrilled to share that thanks to generous support of Sunbelt Rentals and the Toronto International Film Festival, we will be bringing a delegation of disabled creatives to TIFF 2026 (September 10-20, Toronto, ON) to access world-class conference events, panels, and networking opportunities at the brand new TIFF: The Market and your pick of hundreds of film screenings at the public festival.
We’re pleased to provide this opportunity to disabled creatives across Canada. There are 5 spots available. All delegates will receive one (1) complimentary Market pass valid for the length of the market and festival and any accessibility services required to fully participate in the festival. Delegates from outside of the GTA will also receive funds for their flight/train/travel, 7 nights’ hotel accommodation (September 9-16), funds for ground transportation to and from the airport or station and around the city as needed, and a per diem.
This program is offered to persons with disabilities who historically, statistically, and currently face barriers in accessing opportunities in the screen industry. This delegation opportunity is best intended for producers, writers, and individuals working in business affairs in the screen industry, ideally those with projects ready to pitch. This opportunity is not suitable for actors/performers. The Disability Screen Office jury will be evaluating applicants based on your current role in the industry, how you will benefit from attending the festival, and how participating in this delegation will support your future goals. Recognizing the multiple barriers that persons with disabilities with intersecting identities experience, we strongly encourage applications from people with disabilities across all dimensions of diversity.
